Colourful Lombok

Hi Guys! Happy New Year 2013 to al of you.. and a very late Merry Christmas!
Where were you been in the Christmas holiday? I have a wonderful holiday with my family in Lombok, Indonesia. It's near Bali, but not so crowded as Bali. I stayed in Senggigi and I really enjoyed my time there.
Going to Lombok, I'm in love with especially the unique beaches and also their culture. In this post I just want to share some many colourful things I captured in Lombok.

These are bracelets which Sasak people made (so colourful, bought 3 btw for me, and my 2 sisters)

I bought this one!

Lovely paintings

This is on the top of the hill (not exactly at the top, but still high :D) with the view of green hills and Kuta beach
This photo below is quite a lucky shot because the famous place of taking sunset pictures are in Bukit Malimbu. We were waiting at that time, but then rain comes. So, the driver (yeah, we rent a car for one day trip) drive us to hotel, and suddenly rain slowly stops and we can see beautiful sunset with coconut trees. We stop at that place and click. Perfect!
Sunset at near Malimbu
In Lombok there are two types of their traditional fabric. They made it by weaving the thread. One is tenun ikat which is made by the men, usually they made 3-meters fabric within one day. The other one is tenun songket made by women there. It is a must for the women to be able to weave tenun songket, or else they can't get married. :)

Friendship bracelet

Hello everyone! My life has been a bit busy at this time, because I have to prepare for some performance in an education fair. Maybe the performance seems so simple, just a talk show where some students give their opinion. But, I'm really have to prepared it right. It will be held tomorrow, so wish me luck! I am currently addicted to see drawings in chibird. I think some of you may already know, her famous tumblr site. She's drawing cute things and she's still in high school. What I love about her blog is she can express her feeling and can spread positive things to others. :D

Today's photos is a friendship bracelet I make 2 months ago... A friend teach me at school, and I must admit that she's really good at making these lovely bracelet. What I make is just a simple, basic patterns which is called striped patterns. Hope you like it...

For me, I think the best photo is the last photo, because it just so tumblr like image, dreamy and simple. What about you, what's your favourite photo? Thanks for viewing my blogpost anyway..

Rigid Love

Yesterday, 27th October, is Indonesian National Blogger day! I wish all blogger keep continuing their work with love, especially my favourite blogger. And me also, not to be a lazy blogger, but become a better one. :D

So, this is what I made in the beginning of this lovely October, I made this with components of NXT robots. At that time, I was helping to build a fishing rod, with those components and ending up with Love signs. I called these Rigid Love, because it is a love sign made up of rigid and stiff components.

Which one is your favourite?

Well, thank you for reading and viewing my blog, forgive the owner who is lazy to upload, hahaha
