An Escape

After about a month without news... I'm baaaacckk my audience (bow) *clapclapclap* So August has been a month with lots of holidays as I have idul fitri holidays combined with activities like school bazzaaar :D

In this Lebaran / Eid Fitri holiday I had on August, my family goes to Trawas. We didn't stay anywhere, just a fun one-day trip to one of the hotel there and around Trawas. We eat eat and eat until our stomach are full. But, we didn't just eat, we also play badminton. Well, not all of us though. Just me, my father and moi sisters.

We also can relax and get away from my city as we get to see more trees and nature in Trawas. It's also refreshing to breath clean air and look at the bright sky. It's like an escape where we get away from real world, the routine we lived in everyday.

Found this big spider, idk if it's big for you
It's around 15 cm in length

Juicy Craft

Just some craft I make this holiday. :) The first two photos are the same scrapbook (?) I don't know what to call it.. A.A I randomly stick stuffs like flannel dolls, papers and bonus from magazine that I keep for a long time and a photo of me.

I also make various paper crafts with my sister. I cut them out and my sister glue them up. They're all danbo-like doll (template downloaded from internet) in which we took some time doing it. But we have a lot of fun at the same time!

My sister, Gita, likes to roll up food. Last time, she make a sushi using rice rolled up with nori(dried-up seaweed). This one is the bread roll. She spread the butter and spread cheese inside the roll and sprinkle cheese again over the top. A cheesy bread roll is ready to be serve! :D

Colourful Lombok

Hi Guys! Happy New Year 2013 to al of you.. and a very late Merry Christmas!
Where were you been in the Christmas holiday? I have a wonderful holiday with my family in Lombok, Indonesia. It's near Bali, but not so crowded as Bali. I stayed in Senggigi and I really enjoyed my time there.
Going to Lombok, I'm in love with especially the unique beaches and also their culture. In this post I just want to share some many colourful things I captured in Lombok.

These are bracelets which Sasak people made (so colourful, bought 3 btw for me, and my 2 sisters)

I bought this one!

Lovely paintings

This is on the top of the hill (not exactly at the top, but still high :D) with the view of green hills and Kuta beach
This photo below is quite a lucky shot because the famous place of taking sunset pictures are in Bukit Malimbu. We were waiting at that time, but then rain comes. So, the driver (yeah, we rent a car for one day trip) drive us to hotel, and suddenly rain slowly stops and we can see beautiful sunset with coconut trees. We stop at that place and click. Perfect!
Sunset at near Malimbu
In Lombok there are two types of their traditional fabric. They made it by weaving the thread. One is tenun ikat which is made by the men, usually they made 3-meters fabric within one day. The other one is tenun songket made by women there. It is a must for the women to be able to weave tenun songket, or else they can't get married. :)
